BEACHCOMBERS
A beautiful dawn with golden light and dramatic skies, softly reflected in the mud flats of Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. Where there are coastal brown bears digging for razor clams, you will often find gulls in close proximity. The gulls eagerly follow the bears for the scraps in the discarded razor clams. Some may view the presence of gulls as annoying photo-bombers, but I wanted to incorporate the relationship between the two species and reflect reality of the bear's environment in my image, which in this case had it's winged accomplice hovering above..
