CARRY OUT
I had been waiting a week for the opportunity to see a leopard walking on the tracks in Sabi Sands, when at last a leopard was spotted in the late afternoon. As our game vehicle approached to assess the evolving encounter, we positioned ourselves near a drainage channel to where we anticipated her to walk towards. This is Nkuwa and this is her territory. I set up for a low angle shot of her inbound approach from afar, only to see as she came into view that she also had a kill in her mouth. A scrub hare. As she continued into the drainage channel as planned, I managed to capture her side lit with her kill, and a glint in her eye. Although the hare was not for her, it was dinner for her growing 7 month year old male cub..
